I Love Burlington.

My love for Burlington runs deep – not just in words, but through three decades of walking alongside our neighbors through both victories and challenges. This connection to our community and understanding of what matters most to Burlington families drives my campaign for City Council.

I'm Ranjit "Buddy" Singh, and my commitment to Burlington shows in everything I do. As PTO president at Champlain Elementary, where my daughter Aviv is in 4th grade, I've worked with parents juggling busy schedules and teachers stretching limited resources to give our children the best possible education. Through coaching soccer with GBGSL, serving on the Burlington Boys and Girls Club board, and dedicating 18 years to the Church Street Marketplace Commission, I've seen firsthand how our community comes together to support each other through difficult times.

My professional work as a loan officer at Spruce Mortgage has connected me with hundreds of Burlington families pursuing their dreams of homeownership. I've sat at kitchen tables with young couples struggling to afford their first home, longtime residents worried about rising costs, and small business owners working to keep their doors open. These conversations have given me a deep understanding of both the challenges we face and the creative solutions we need.

Through my years of community involvement and daily conversations with neighbors, I've seen how interconnected our city's challenges are. When families can't afford housing, it affects our schools. When businesses struggle, it impacts our entire community's wellbeing. When our neighbors face addiction, it touches all of us.

Working at Spruce Mortgage, I've helped families navigate one of the toughest housing markets in Burlington's history. As PTO president, I've worked with families who've had to leave our school community because they could no longer afford to live here. On Church Street, I've seen both the potential and the challenges of keeping our downtown vibrant and safe for everyone. These aren't just policy issues – they're about real people and the future of our community.

My love for Burlington isn't just sentiment – it's rooted in countless conversations with neighbors on front porches, at school events, and in local shops. I've spent years listening to parents stretching their budgets, professionals seeking opportunity, students building their futures, and city employees working to serve our community better.
